Once the carbon fiber cloth is selected, will it be permanent? NO, This construction process is worth collecting!
n the field of building reinforcement, there is a wide variety of products available, and carbon fiber cloth is one of them. Its role is self-evident, widely used in beams, slabs, columns, trusses, bridges, shells, and other areas due to its convenient construction and high strength. So, the question that customers care about arises: once you have chosen carbon fiber cloth, is everything set for good? The answer is no.
After selecting the carbon fiber cloth, there is another crucial step! That is the construction technique for pasting the carbon fiber cloth, as the quality of the paste directly determines the quality of the construction, which is quite significant, and many people tend to overlook it!
Please carefully read the following points:
Substrate Preparation: When pasting the carbon fiber cloth, start by sanding the adhesive surface to remove the surface slurry and loose layers, exposing a new surface and using an air compressor to blow away the dust, then remove any dirt, oil stains, etc.
Preparation of Carbon Fiber Impregnation Resin: Using SHB-A503 carbon fiber impregnation resin, mix it in a reasonable ratio of A:B=2:1. Do not mix too much at once, prepare a small amount of adhesive, use it as you prepare, and mix as much as you need.
Cutting the Carbon Fiber Cloth: According to the design requirements and the size of the base surface that needs to be pasted on site, cut the carbon fiber cloth to the specified dimensions.
Applying the Carbon Fiber Impregnation Resin: After mixing and stirring the carbon fiber impregnation resin evenly, apply it evenly on the surface of the base where the cloth will be pasted using a roller.
Pasting the Carbon Fiber Cloth: Paste the cut carbon fiber cloth according to the design drawing requirements along the direction of force, roll press multiple times along the fiber direction to squeeze out bubbles, ensuring that the impregnation resin fully soaks through the carbon cloth. Use a scraper to press from the middle to both sides of the carbon fiber cloth surface until the adhesive exudes, to remove bubbles and ensure that the adhesive fully saturates the carbon fiber cloth. After the surface of the first layer of carbon fiber is finger-dry, the second layer can be pasted. When pasting multiple layers, repeat the above steps layer by layer. After the carbon cloth is pasted, apply another layer of carbon fiber impregnation resin to ensure it is fully covered on the surface.
Secondary Rolling Coating: Roll the carbon fiber impregnation resin again to ensure the adhesive fully saturates the fiber fabric and that the fabric layer is evenly pressed without bubbles.
Curing: After natural curing for 24 hours, the initial curing effect can be achieved. During the curing period, avoid interference and prevent hard objects from damaging the construction surface. The curing time should not be less than 7 days.
Attention to Carbon Fiber Reinforcement:
When sanding the adhesive surface, if there are exposed parts of rebar, rust and anti-rust treatment is needed. If there are cracks, epoxy resin should be applied for sealing. Cracks wider than 0.2 mm should be treated with SHB-D801 crack injection resin. Corners can be ground into rounded corners with a radius of not less than 20 millimeters.
Correctly apply the adhesive evenly and comprehensively to ensure sufficient thickness and good wetting.
Reasonably cut and lay the carbon fiber cloth. Cut the carbon fiber cloth accurately according to the design requirements, and ensure it is smooth, wrinkle-free, and closely adheres to the base layer when laid.
Mix and stir the carbon fiber impregnation resin thoroughly until the color is uniform and no bubbles are produced.
SHB Carbon Fiber Cloth:
Made with imported intelligent carbon fiber weaving machines, SHB carbon fiber cloth is woven with original imported architectural cloth-specific 12K high-precision carbon fiber. Each strand weighs only 0.8g per meter, with a density only one-fourth that of steel. Each square meter of carbon fiber cloth can save about 0.5kg of carbon glue, making it a great helper for building a safe framework! SHIBANG - Building a trustworthy safety for you!
