What are the similarities and differences between stereotyped chemical anchors and high-strength chemical anchors? Listen to the manufacturer and you to detail!

In the field of building reinforcement, chemical anchors are highly favored due to their convenient construction and good anchoring performance.  However, there are two types of so-called chemical anchors on the market: formed chemical anchors and high-strength chemical anchors.  Although they have many similarities, there are obvious differences in their applications and performances.  Many people don't know much about these two types and it's easy for them to confuse them.  Today, I'll take you to analyze in detail the similarities and differences between these two types of anchors from the following aspects.

Similarities:

Anchoring Principle: Both formed chemical anchors and high-strength chemical anchors fix the screw rods in the concrete substrate through chemical adhesives, thus achieving the anchoring of the fixed parts.

Application Range: Both can be widely used in fields such as building structure reinforcement, curtain wall installation, and equipment fixation.

Differences:

I. Definition

As the name implies, formed chemical anchors refer to anchors with the screw rod diameter, effective embedment depth, and adhesive already determined.  While high-strength chemical anchors use vinyl ester resin as the main raw material to provide high-strength anchoring.

II.  Supporting Components

Formed chemical anchors adopt an inverted cone design with a flat bottom and are generally used in combination with injection-type rebar planting adhesive.

High-strength chemical anchors usually adopt a straight rod design without an inverted cone structure, and their bottoms are pointed.  They usually come with matching chemical agents for use.

III.  Adhesives

The adhesive used for formed chemical anchors is injection-type rebar planting adhesive, which is made from modified epoxy resin.  The injection-type rebar planting adhesive has strong anchoring force and meets the design service life standards.

The chemical agents used for high-strength chemical anchors are composed of vinyl resin, quartz particles, and a curing agent.  They are packaged in glass tubes, which is convenient for visually checking the quality of the tube agents.  After the glass is crushed, it serves as fine aggregate.

IV. Force-bearing Modes

After using the injection-type rebar planting adhesive, formed chemical anchors can form an adhesive layer between the hole wall and the anchor, similar to the performance of mechanical locking.

High-strength chemical anchors can bond and fix the anchor and the hole wall through the matching chemical agents.

V. Concrete Substrate

Formed chemical anchors can be used for cracked concrete substrates, while high-strength chemical anchors are suitable for non-cracked concrete substrates.

VI. Construction Technology

Construction Technology of Formed Chemical Anchors:

Drill holes in the substrate;  2.  Clean the holes;  3.  Inject the rebar planting adhesive into the holes;  4.  Slowly screw the screw rods in;  5.  Wait for the adhesive to cure;  6.  After the curing is completed, loading can be carried out.

Construction Technology of High-Strength Chemical Anchors:

Drill holes in the substrate;  2.  Clean the holes;  3.  Insert the chemical anchor agent tubes into the holes;  4.  Slowly screw the chemical anchor screw rods in;  5.  Wait for the adhesive to cure;  6.  After the curing is completed, loading can be carried out.

In conclusion, understanding the similarities and differences between formed chemical anchors and high-strength chemical anchors can help constructors choose the appropriate anchor type according to specific project requirements and environmental conditions to ensure the stability and safety of the structure.  When choosing chemical anchors, they should be reasonably selected according to specific project requirements and structural characteristics to ensure the safety of the project.
