A small way to avoid sticking steel reinforcement with empty drums, collect it quickly!
In building reinforcement projects, hollowing is an easily occurring problem, especially in carbon fiber sheet bonding reinforcement. In fact, similar to carbon fiber sheet reinforcement, bonded steel plate reinforcement is also prone to hollowing. If hollowing occurs when bonding steel plates, the subsequent remedial work will be extremely difficult. Therefore, what we usually need to do is prevent the occurrence of hollowing.
The following are methods to prevent the occurrence of hollowing in bonded steel reinforcement:
Adequate amount of adhesive
In the specification, the thickness requirement for the adhesive for bonded steel reinforcement is an average thickness of 2-3mm. If no loss is considered, theoretically, the amount of adhesive used per square meter of steel plate is 5-6 kilograms. However, this does not mean that using 5-6 kilograms of adhesive per square meter of steel plate can meet the requirements.
Due to factors such as loss during the construction process, the pressure of adhesive layer curing, and uneven thickness caused by manual application, hollowing problems are likely to occur. Therefore, in actual construction, the thickness of the adhesive layer should be appropriately increased during the application of the adhesive layer to ensure that the adhesive layer thickness is uniform and continuous when applying curing pressure, which is the key to avoiding hollowing.
Uniformity of adhesive layer is crucial
In different construction angles, the application method of the adhesive layer will also be different, resulting in uneven application of the adhesive layer and easy formation of hollowing. When the steel plate is pasted on flat positions such as the bottom of beams and slabs, it should be ensured that the applied adhesive layer is thick in the middle and thin at the edges; when vertical pasting is used on components such as columns and walls, it should be ensured that the adhesive layer is thick at the top and thin at the bottom.
These two pasting methods can ensure that the colloid can form a uniform thickness during the later process of applying curing stress to the steel plate, reducing the possibility of hollowing. The details in the construction process cannot be ignored! Appropriately increasing the amount of adhesive used and uniformly applying the adhesive layer are both keys to avoiding hollowing. Just like the "heat control" in cooking, only by mastering the details can a perfect reinforcement project be achieved.
Choose high-quality bonded steel adhesive
As can be seen from the above two points, the occurrence of hollowing is largely related to the colloid. Therefore, choosing high-quality bonded steel adhesive is very important. If the construction is correct during the reinforcement construction process, the occurrence of hollowing will be reduced. Shibang bonded steel adhesive uses modified epoxy resin, does not contain styrene, is safe and non-toxic; and has strong adhesion and shear strength; also has good anti-aging and medium resistance (acid, alkali, and salt water) properties; also has certain impact resistance, strong seismic performance, good toughness, and small shrinkage during the hardening process.
It meets the standard of more than 50 years of design service life, has excellent performance in all aspects, has no unpleasant odor, and the colloid has good thixotropy. It can prevent problems such as waste of adhesive amount and construction delay or rework caused by the occurrence of hollowing in steel plates.
Avoid hollowing
Finally, let us keep in mind the principle of "prevention first"! Make sufficient preparations before construction, strictly follow the specification operation requirements for bonded steel reinforcement, and choose bonded steel adhesive with good thixotropic properties. Then, the problem of hollowing will naturally be easily solved.
