How much do you know about glue for reinforcement? What is the difference between grade A and Grade B?

In rebar planting reinforcement projects, rebar planting glue, as an important reinforcement material, its performance is directly related to the quality and safety of the reinforcement project. According to different performances, rebar planting glue is generally divided into grade A and grade B. So how do we distinguish these two grades of rebar planting glue? Let's learn about it together:

I. Difference in materials:
Grade A rebar planting glue usually uses epoxy resin as raw material and has good bonding performance and durability.
Grade B rebar planting glue generally uses unsaturated resin as raw material, and the performance requirements are relatively low.

II. Difference in odor:

Grade A rebar planting glue needs to pass safety appraisal, is safe and non-toxic, and does not contain irritating odors such as styrene.
The raw material of grade B glue generally uses unsaturated resin as raw material. The specification requirements are not too strict, and it may release irritating substances. Therefore, attention should be paid to ventilation and safety protection during construction.

III. Difference in performance:
Grade A glue needs to meet more stringent performance requirements. Generally, it needs to have good tensile strength, compressive strength, meet the 50-year standard of design service life, and have good aging resistance, freeze-thaw resistance and medium resistance. This enables grade A rebar planting glue to maintain good performance under more harsh environmental conditions and stress conditions and provide a more reliable anchoring effect.
The tensile strength, compressive strength and other properties of grade B glue may be inferior to those of grade A glue. Therefore, the performance under some strict conditions is not as good as that of grade A rebar planting glue.

IV. Difference in application scope:

Grade A rebar planting glue is usually used for anchoring important components and key parts with high structural safety requirements, such as rail transit and load-bearing structures of buildings. Once problems occur in these parts, the consequences will be unimaginable. Therefore, grade A rebar planting glue with good performance is needed to ensure the reliability of anchoring.
In comparison, the tensile strength, compressive strength and other indicators of grade B rebar planting glue may be inferior to those of grade A glue. It is generally suitable for non-load-bearing structures or occasions with not particularly high performance requirements.
Summary of rebar planting glue:

In practical applications, it is necessary to reasonably choose grade A or grade B rebar planting glue according to specific engineering needs, structural importance and related budgets. In addition, whether choosing grade A or grade B rebar planting glue, during the use process, it is necessary to strictly follow the construction specifications provided by the rebar planting glue manufacturer to ensure the smooth progress of the reinforcement project.
