Brief talk: Carbon fiber reinforcement construction, easy to be overlooked details!
Carbon fiber reinforcement plays a decisive role in the field of reinforcement with many characteristics. It is not only convenient and fast to construct, but more importantly, it can achieve a good reinforcement effect and raise the stability of buildings to a new level. However, in the reinforcement construction process, there are still many details that are easily overlooked, which can easily cause the reinforcement of building structures to fail. To prevent such phenomena from occurring, let's take a closer look at the relevant detailed precautions of carbon fiber reinforcement.
Precautions for carbon fiber reinforcement details:
I. Base surface treatment:
Base surface treatment is a very important step in carbon fiber reinforcement. The decorative white lime, wall plastering and concrete cushion on the surface of the reinforced member need to be treated and removed. Then, use an angle grinder to polish the concrete surface and remove the loose concrete to expose the concrete base surface. If the base surface is uneven after grinding, repair glue or epoxy mortar should be selected for repair.
II. Cutting of carbon fiber cloth:
For the cutting of carbon fiber cloth, some less experienced construction personnel are relatively casual when cutting, and it is easy to cut too much, resulting in waste of carbon fiber cloth. The correct approach should be to accurately measure the part to be pasted, calculate the size and then cut the carbon fiber cloth of the corresponding size. This way, it is not easy to waste materials and can avoid an increase in construction costs. Folding is strictly prohibited when cutting carbon fiber cloth; if there is an original crease in the carbon fiber cloth, the section with the crease should be cut off.
III. Construction of pasting carbon fiber cloth:
Place the cut carbon fiber cloth on the concrete surface coated with carbon fiber glue according to the setting-out position. Use a roller to evenly and smoothly compact in the direction of the fiber sheet to make the resin overflow from both sides to ensure density and no voids. When pasting carbon fiber in parallel, the gap between the two pieces should be not less than 5mm.
IV. Material selection:
Material selection is also a crucial step in carbon fiber cloth reinforcement. If the reinforcement materials are not up to standard, then the actual reinforcement effect of the structure will not meet the relevant requirements. SHB-A501 carbon fiber cloth is a unidirectional carbon fiber woven with 12K carbon fiber filaments. When used together with the supporting SHB-503 impregnating glue, it becomes a carbon fiber composite material and can form a complete carbon fiber cloth sheet reinforcement system with excellent performance.
Although carbon fiber reinforcement is convenient in construction and has obvious structural reinforcement effects, one must not be careless during the construction process. It still needs to be constructed in strict accordance with the specifications. This can not only ensure that the structural reinforcement meets the expected regulatory requirements, but also better protect the building structure.
